New striker?

Jesus and Aguero will both be back after the Leeds game, so you're really taking short term to the extreme.
If you think Aguero is coming back in 3 weeks and back to full match fitness your in for a shock.

Severe injury at his age and it's clearly taking him a lot longer than expected to recover.

He also is notorious at taking a long time to get his sharpness back after spells of injury.

Tottenham are set to sign Carlos Vinicius on loan. Maybe he could have been useful for us?

Enough creative and goal-scoring midfielders to play false 9 all season if we need to. Jesus and Sterling can play there without Aguero, so I don't think we need to worry yet.
The only concern is that the chances fall to the one striker at that moment who would miss. Had it been one of the others, they'd have buried it. I saw Raheem's first effort last night that the goalie saved low down. Sergio would have lifted it out of reach, just like that one he scored at Haringey some seasons back when he left Dawson at the abbatoir. Torres could have had two. Palmer was on for one, and Rodri put one just millimetres(fractions of an inch for those fans who still talk of wing halves!) wide. Had any one of the other 'strikers' had it, it was a goal!

jovic on season loan with an option to buy, if he rediscovers his pre Madrid form he’s a premiership ready made Aguero replacement (as much as that’s possible) and we are on a winner if not he goes back to RM no great loss
