Apologies, had I seen it yesterday I would have posted! Which thread was it discussed in?If only you had thought of this sooner, would have saved all the posts on him yesterday :)

I agree but I suppose the player would ask for a bigger signing on fee to cover the agents cost.
I still don’t understand how the agents get such big fees? A 10% fee of similar would make more send but sometime the agents fee is nearly as big as the transfer fee and there can be 3 or 4 agents involved in one transfer
If we had multiple natural finishers like you say, I think we would reach 2014/15 Barca level. I know thats huge statement but we certainly would not be far off.I agree with this. We do score lots of goals but we have so many shots, you could argue that we should score much more. There's plenty of different goal scorers throughout the team but that's due to the number of chances we create. However, as you have mentioned, Aguero is our only natural finisher. If we had a couple more prolific goal scorers; we'd e frightening.
Well to be fair. The DoF model is there to prevent overhauls all the time. So I think its kinda natural that we mostly focus on young players.Torres, Ake, and Couto, and probably Ait-Nouri, Aouar, perhaps even Almada. An awful lot of investment in young players if you think your manager is about to weigh anchor.
I don't get this " should come at a very big price" thing. As long as he is the right player for us and our team, I don't care if we shop at pound land.
Some real top strikers have been found down in the lower leagues and cost thruppence.
Forget the it must cost £100m plus to replace Aguero, just get the right player
It's all well and good naming players who are standout for other teams but, fans often overlook the transferability of such form to us. Kane is banging them in for fun at Spurs but there are no guarantees he would have the same impact here.I agree with what you are saying, but most of the time the right player is expensive. We want someone at least who is established and is scoring goals on a regular basis.
It would be a huge gamble to buy a player to replace Aguero who is far from the finished article. Kane for me is the finished article and Haaland looks the real deal, both will be very expensive, but also worth it.
I’d agree. We don’t really need to break the bank but just find someone that can provide a bit of cover and another option. We seem to do a lot of business with Jorge Mendes, so I wonder what the situation is with someone like Andre Silva? Seems to be floating between clubs but has a bit of height and can score. Not advocating him in particular just someone with that other dimension.
Mandzukic is available on a free. I know he has just turned 34, but for a tall option that wouldn't expect regular minutes, he has plenty of experience, instinct and quality for that planB alternative when tiki taka leads nowhere in the last 20 minutes.
But would take one of the17 non homegrown squad palces that are too valuable to use on a player for a plan B , that Pep doesn't use anyway.Mandzukic is available on a free. Like your theory but perhaps not your nominee.

HahahahaThe Guardian is reporting that United are looking to sell Lingard so maybe we should consider an offer?
At 28 he is coming into his prime, an eye for goal, home grown and reasonably priced - what's not to like?
This is kun throughout the years (and not just with us).
This is why we need a new striker.
People use stats to compare Jesus favourably to Aguero at similar ages - However, look at the quality of the goals he scores before his time with us and at such a young age. His technique with shooting is miles ahead even at a young age that of anywhere Jesus could dream of getting. Power, precision he has it all and had it all from the beginning.
