New striker?

Might be a little left field but do we need an out and out striker? All the best teams who win trophies don’t just rely on one striker but instead win most of their games with players scoring from multiple positions.? Rag did it for years winning the prem.
For the life of me I can't think of when this happened?

And you say they don't rely on 1 striker which implies that they still actually have one.

Milik could be as little as £10 million, he would not stop us buying Haaland in the summer with Aguero leaving. We can have 3 strikers without playing them and the option to change tactics may stop us being toothless in attack, it is not just the goals that have dried up the shots and chances created have dried up as well. All good craftsmen have the right tool to do the job, and Pep has denied himself the right tools.
Marhez looked like he had the curse of playing striker against utd , he touched the ball about five times in the first half and had 1 shot just about last touch of the half, and congratulations City on scoring the first counter attacking goal of the season against Chelsea.

Im hearing this rumour more and more.
On a positive note he plays well for the best international team in the world and iv seen him finish well from plenty of Kevs assists for Belgium

Would not touch Lukaku with a barge pole not the answer in my opinion, there is a difference between banging them in in Serie A and the Prem. Granted he had a good spell at Everton but he couldnt hack it when asked to be the main striker at a top 6 club and i see no reason why that would now have changed.

Has to be Haaland or Martinez for me preferably the former.

Pep is not a fan of single purpose players, a target-man is not his style unless he has other skills to go with it.

Admittedly, I haven’t watched him once since he joined Inter. If he has improved since leaving United, then I could warm to the idea. The United Lukaku couldn’t even control a football.
He’s a lot better at hold up and passing, has a great connection with De Bruyne, knows the Prem and has scored a ton even in defensive and sub-par teams. Think he’d easy get 25 a season for us.

Martinez isn’t a great finisher and no-one could hack it at United, hence them being shit for years.

Haaland for £66.6m in 2022 sounds like an ideal plan - his release clause which activates then apparently.

Lukaku is a misunderstood and underrated player who had his reputation destroyed by United.

Mourinho misused him. Despite being absolutely huge Lukaku has never been a target man or a hold-up forward. He might be a giant but he plays like a midget. He's a pure goal getter.

His entire career outside of United he's always been a really good scorer. Not great, but still really good.

He's not exactly someone I'd want as he'd be nowhere near worth whatever money he'd cost but if we signed him I wouldn't be upset. As a stylistic fit he's no worse than Haaland (I'd obviously prefer Haaland in case you misinterpret that).
