New striker?

Isn't Dzeko playing really poorly this season? Why would we want to bring a player like that in?

If we lose out on this title due to lack of goals it's truly unforgivable. Utd paying £180k PW for Ighalo to play about 3 games a season. It's forever "next summer"...Milik would've done a job on loan.

Agreed. It simply HAS to be this summer though. Whatever about the pandemic getting in the way last summer in terms of getting a centre forward, that's fair enough but we need to seriously upgrade and make a statement this summer. We've let the rags get far too close to us in terms of points and league position and we can't waste the heights of 2017-2019 by letting that shower back in.

Micah is routing Costa to push us to the title. Personally I'd be over the moon at a 6 month Dzeko loan, but as others mention I don't think we have the foreign spot right now.

Would probably also see Delap drop down the order and look at opportunities elsewhere though.

Because he’s a better finisher than Sterling, Bernardo or Mahrez and he’s not injured, and offers some aerial threat.

Okay this will probably be an unpopular opinion but why are we not taking a punt on Diego Costa? I know he's a bit hot headed but a proven goalscorer in the prem. Free transfer, only wages to worry about and adds a bit of beef up front. Could have an impact similar to what David Pizarro had when we won the league.
Deal to the end of the season is a no-brainer for me. Then go all out for Haaland in the summer!

Delap ain’t playing for the first team again this season barring long term injuries to Jesus and Aguero being out for the season.

our sergio replacement is already at city, ferran torres, sergio will get another season , ferran torres will be first choice the season after.

this is all based on a hunch nothing more, but there's defo something about the lad.
Sadly Torres could not even beat a League 2 defender the other evening so little chance of being a suitable replacement for Sergio. I still believe Raul Jiminez to be the player we need, especially as Wolves have recently signed an extra striker so may be amenable to release him. If not Raul then Costa on an 18 months contract or Danny Ings.

If Edin is available on loan, I'd get him for 6 month's.
IMO it's a no brainer. He knows the club, well liked by the fans and those inside the club, offers a alternative to what we have got up top at the moment, having a player who can hold the ball and bring others into play I feel is a really good option to have as a plan B, he knows where the net is his goals record speaks for itself.
So many times this season we have put decent balls into dangerous areas but have been lacking in someone getting on the end of them.
Not saying Edin would score every single chance but reckon he would get us between at least 10-12 goals between now and end of the season.

It does make me laugh when people suggest Costa. Firstly he'd currently be out of shape and match fitness could be months in coming. Even then he's as old as Sergio and would not be the Costa that Chelsea had.

The MOST important reason why we should go nowhere near him however, is we now play with VAR and his anti sportsman, vicious and cynical play (It's built-in and would never change) would see us finish most games with 10 men.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

We all know how easily City players pick up cards.... referees seem to greet any City foul with a yellow card - we get harshly refereed and its been that way since the takeover. Costa walked a tightrope at Chelsea and only after elements of the Rag loving media had highlighted his transgressions was he punished appropriately. Costa is a nasty bastard and in a City shirt he would be rarely on the pitch. A big NO NO.

I'd take Kolarov back as well. Give them Mendy in return

Doesn’t every team lose out on the title through lack of goals? The idea is to score more that the opposition
