New York City FC Thread (new away kit P245)

After reading there forum, it be hard for me to "follow" them. There already an arrogance about them which I don't like. Somebody on this board has already said we MCFC own them not Sheik Mansour. So we will be number one brand I don't like seeing it like that but it how it is. I think I'll be more interested in Melbourne City than NYCFC even if I do watch the MLS quite a bit. I always liked Jason Kreis since his time at Salt Lake a very talented manager who if NYCFC give him time he will achieve big things. I Guess it a American thing where they have to be Number One and The Best. Also on NYCFC forum that Midas Mulligan is a utter dick since he not only caused trouble with just us Bluemooners but seems like some of the NYCFC fans thing he a dick as well.

Well, since I live in "the Colonies", I will try to follow them especially during the off-season summer months since the MLS season is from March to August. I

Is there anything to prevent NYCFC signing whoever they wanted and loaning them to City here?

There's a salary cap and teams are only allowed 3 "designated players" which are usually reserved for former European big names.

I'm from Boston so its gonna be hard for me to get behind a team that is backed by the Yankees. Because of this they won't be my MLS team but I will probably follow them or at the very least not actively hate them despite being backed by the Yankees.

Reading NYCFC forums, they have a lot of knob heads for fans, no i will not be following them.

In 1971 New York Cosmos started off at Yankee Stadium with less than 5000 in attendance. In 1975 they bought Pele and popularity and attendances continued to increase. Carlos Alberto and Beckenbauer also played for the first incarnation of NYCFC (Cosmos). During a playoff match in 1977 over 77,000 fans turned up.. The potential for NYCFC is enormous and this incarnation is owned by MCFC.

There will be some cultural differences between supporters as a global fan base widens and a few allegedly dubious personalities on a new NYCFC fan forum wont alter the fact that I'll be looking out for NYCFC with interest, it certainly won't determine my perception of this new Club which MCFC own.

It goes without saying, this is not on a par with watching City... Having said that; A trip to New York and throwing in a match featuring Villa, Lampard, etc is an attractive prospect for 2015. I wish this new enterprise and experience every success.

Having been quite excited about the owners business plans, I thought I would check out NYCFC fan forums (its ironic that there is a fan forum for a team that hasn't kicked a ball yet lol)

The NYCFC "fans" seem to be determined that they are the number one club in the partnership and MCFC are an inconvenient irreverence.

If we were taking over an existing club I could understand the attitudes of many posters, but MCFC (via AUG) are creating the club, and the brand. I was going to look out for them but having read (more glanced) the forums I am starting to have some doubts. Who are these people ?

Then I start to wonder is NYCFC being infiltrated by other clubs, do we need to get onto there forums en mass and educate them :) THIS IS ONE OF THE SUGGESTIONS FOR A CHANT
