Weirdly I looked at the NYCFC website a few days ago. Fancied a t-shirt or hoodie or something and strangely they don't have them on the city site. Soon put off at $80 postage.

You would think that in the future NYCFC and Melbourne Shirts will be available in store as well as online.

Probably Nike not happy with other brands being sold alongside at the moment.

Yep. Nike aren't going to allow adidas merchandise to be sold on our website, and that won't change with regards to the MLS until 2019 at the very earliest.

One thing about MLs is it's on right now. I'm bored stiff without football so at least it will give us some interest next year. (Not counting England as football).

Having been quite excited about the owners business plans, I thought I would check out NYCFC fan forums (its ironic that there is a fan forum for a team that hasn't kicked a ball yet lol)

The NYCFC "fans" seem to be determined that they are the number one club in the partnership and MCFC are an inconvenient irreverence.

If we were taking over an existing club I could understand the attitudes of many posters, but MCFC (via AUG) are creating the club, and the brand. I was going to look out for them but having read (more glanced) the forums I am starting to have some doubts. Who are these people ?

Then I start to wonder is NYCFC being infiltrated by other clubs, do we need to get onto there forums en mass and educate them :) THIS IS ONE OF THE SUGGESTIONS FOR A CHANT

Is that forum run by a guy called Ric Toyner!!

I don't know who runs it, but I think it would be a good idea to set up sub forums for NYCFC and Melbourne City here (New boards) to allow the fans of these clubs to join in with the MCFC banter etc, this hopefully will help the fans develop the City mindset !!!!

I knew that Ric Toyner joke wouldn't work in text :(

I've set up an account on their forum under the same name - might be interesting to see the differences between them and us. Not sure they'll get the muffin/barm references, though.

There are some corkers on that forum of theirs!

<a class="postlink" href="http://nycfcforums.com/index.php?threads/away-day-casuals.531/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://nycfcforums.com/index.php?thread ... suals.531/</a>

Think that one takes the biscuit.

As a side note, I don't understand why there 'fans' are so reluctant to sing City songs? It's as if they hate the club their part of?

I have done the same on there forum, not yet posted though. I am not sure how long it will be till I get a ban if I respond to some of the twaddle in there lol.... Got the Ric Reference just hope he reads my suggestion ref boards for our franchise clubs.
