Firstly, pleased with the win against a team that only wanted to avoid a stuffing, cuffed for Walker to get a goal and what a cracker.
However, we still don't look up to speed and are still trying to find our pattern.
I thought we'd have been better playing the three centre half's and Mendy and Walker/another higher and wider. Mahrez hasn't found his feet within the team and still seems to be playing a solo role much like he did at Leicester. Bernie Silva should be starting every game in his current form, we looked much better when he came on. Sterling took his goal very well, I read today he was making his 100th appearance for and scored his 51st goal, he really should have 75 goals in those games. He needs to continue to improve if he wants that big contract.
Stones and Laporte were outstanding, the future is bright with those two.

Yes you can sir, yes you can. May I also add that some people seem to forget a season following the WC is meant to be complicated. City are not at 100% atm, and they could not possibly have been at this period. Having said that, there is no excuse for the way Sergio handled that situation during injury time. For a player of his experience, it's clearly unacceptable. Instead of killing the game, we came close to self-destruct -once again...
Much more worrying for me the fact that certain players are struggling to find their form following long injuries, seeming unable to deal with the fear factor so far. Which I find is a problem in general, as City are struggling to match the physicality of the PL so far. Opponents know this (while certain pundits have already advised them accordingly), and use it as their main weapon, week in week out -exploiting the officials' tolerance, of course...
I cannot imagine another manager of a top team, internationally speaking, building his central defense around such a young partnership. The performance and co-ordination of the duo Stones - Laporte will be key for the team's balance on the pitch (therefore for City's ambitions in general), the boys have done more than well so far (not just defensively...), but will need our full support throughout the season. Another key factor is how Guardiola intends to deal with the number 6 position during the season...
It's only the 1st of September, still players such as Raheem, Sergio, David etc look sharper than I personally expected, while Bernardo already provides all kinds of solutions to his managers' plans. Others will need more time...
It was a difficult night, a must win game. I enjoyed watching Raheem and Kyle stepping forward, assuming responsibility for the whole team, wonderful the goals they scored. Tonight it was them, next match it could be another teammate of theirs taking their place. Congratulations to everybody, good luck vs Fulham...

I'd love to know what's going on behind the scenes with Sane. That 2nd half was made for him.. was he injured? ? Anyway, the sign of a true champion is winning when not at their best. CTID.

Had to laugh at the fuckwit in the corner block near the Geordies who was being escorted/thrown out. In the end, it took 3 or 4 coppers to get him out. He just wouldn't go quietly!To be perfectly honest, I was bored in the second half. Would have liked another goal, but the highlights were all in crowd down in Level 1 today.
