Our shirt sponsorship runs out at the end of this season so we should see a huge upgrade on that as we're currently getting more money for our shirt sponsorship which is valued at £7.5 million. We will probably also be selling naming rights to the ground and training facilities.

Castore is our kit supplier, nobody knows how much that brings in, I would put my money on it being not very good. Ashley signed them up and he would take anything. Castore is also poor at fulfilling online orders so I would expect that any half decent supplier could double sales without having to do too much.

I would love it for us to go back to Adidas as they were fantastic for us in the past. I’m sure we were their best selling brand but they hated Ashley so renewing with them was never going to happen while he was at the club.

The media will hope some of your sponsorship comes from the Middle East so they can claim it's your owners pumping money in through false sponsorship deals.

There really is an opportunity for them this season to grab a top 4 spot. Liverpool are way below what they have been in the last few seasons, Chelsea are inconsistent, ditto utd and Spurs. There's only us and Arsenal showing any sort of consistency so far, nearly a third of the way through the campaign.

It will be interesting if in the near future they genuinely start challenging for the PL. I suspect our attitude to them will change if they pip us to a PL title in a tight 2 horse race say.

When we won the first PL, there was a scouse lad who used to play 5 a side with us, who was shaking my hand, as it stopped the rags winning it. That soon changed when they were missing out to us on things they were challenging for.

I think similar will happen with us as they are not really directly threatening us at the moment. Hopefully we deal with it better than the dippers though, if it happens. I don't want City fans writing poems or referring to ourselves as "PL Royalty" or other such dipper like drivel.

Now watch the media go in for the kill.
Opening salvo here…

Quite a pressure group, with their 800 Twitter followers, some of whom may even like football, or know where Newcastle is, or both.

@Mick_ Do you know anything about the John Hird mentioned in the piece? Salt of the Earth, lifelong Magpie, who’s seen the hard times, and whose dad was at Wembley in ‘55? Or not so much?

I see the bbc gossip has Bruno G wanted by Barca now (after they’ve realised they can’t get Bernardo). He’s their best player for me, so I’d be doing all in their power to resist the Catalans.
As ever, guess it depends on how the player would view such a move to some extent - along with how many years he’s got left. I’d doubt Barca could offer him a higher salary.
