What the fuck is wrong with footballers?

With the money they earn, why wouldn’t they hire a limousine, or even a taxi for the evening, instead of endangering themselves and others.

Just mental!
i don't know if it still happens but in the Newcastle area about 30 years ago one of the cab companies would provide one taxi and 2 drivers for their customers who were a bit worse for wear but had a vehicle with them.

The first driver took the customer home in his own car, the taxi and the second driver used to follow to the Customer's house to pick the first driver up, never seen it anywhere other than the North East.

Joelinton fined £29k and banned for 12 months for drink driving. Apparently, the amount of the fine was decided upon using his weekly wage as a guide.

Which is £43k per week. So he was fined 66% of a week's wages for the offence. Seems very lenient to me.

So,on that basis, the average man in the street can expect to receive a £350 pound fine if they commit the same offence.

Punching these men,1 goal in last 4 PL games, won't be sitting in top 4 for much longer at that rate,if others underneath start to get their acts together

We started the season off slowly and we've started the same way after the World Cup break, hopefully we'll start doing better in the near future. At the start of the season we won our first game and then not again until our 8th league game.

It's ridiculously impressive when you think about who he's bought. I know he's spent quite a lot of money, but let's be honest, they arguably don't have any players that would start regularly for any of their top four rivals. Maybe Saint-Maximin and Guimaraes.

Botman, Pope and possibly Isak could be added to those two.

It should be said that he was just over the limit, he blew 43 and the limit is 35.

That’s no comfort to a victim of drink driving

I agree, it's still not as bad as it was first made out to be. The police officer who stopped him also seems to be a liar as he said in his statement that Joelinton had glazed eyes, this was proven not to be the case when the bodycam footage was reviewed.

I would never drink and drive, it's one or the other and he'll hopefully learn his lesson. The fine will be brushed off by him but losing his licence will be a nightmare even if he employs a driver as it's not convenient as just being able to jump in your car at any time, day or night. I think the fine is pointless as he'll not miss the cash, he should have been made to do work in the community so that people could have benefited from his punishment.

Can't dislike Newcastle.

Their fans have always been sound, they have deserved so much better for years. They turn out in numbers even when shit and are just generally inoffensive (apart from horse punching)

I know a few Newcastle proper fans and they're decent.

Plus that whole area is full of decent folk. I love away days up to Northumberland and around that end. Blyth especially.
