Fun fact of the day which always upsets Newcastle and Sunderland supporters

Newcastle originally played in red and white, but most teams did. So when Newcastle played away from home they borrowed Northumberland county's kit, black and white stripes, so not to clash

They borrowed it so often Newcastle changed the colour of their home kit
Not surprised it upsets them, doesn't sound very hygienic to me.

Wishing Newcastle United all the best for tomorrow. Think we showed that the high press can upset the Arsenal rhythm but that it needs to be done in unison and be maintained; Newcastle certainly showed against us that they’re not afraid of taking the game to the opponent. The corresponding fixture was a 0-0 draw in January, so here’s hoping they go one better tomorrow.

It feels like today could be a good day for a football match.

I can’t believe how much of a **** Arteta has been this season I hope the barcodes dry bum them back up the M1

He's not well liked on Tyneside and has had a little dig at us in his press conference which has been picked up by the fans. The atmosphere might not be to his liking today for some reason.

I think the stress may well be getting to him. It's one thing to be an assistant but quite another to being the captain of the ship.

He appears to have changed so much since taking over at the Gooners, it's almost as if he's had a personality change.
The way his team play: feigning injuries, time-wasting, provoking opposition players, all of that. Doesn't seem the sort of philosophy Pep would preach.
Add that to the fact that -just like Bingo- he can't stop himself from bitching and sniping about other clubs, he is presenting himself as Maureen 2...not a characteristic designed to win friends.

If we win the Prem this year Arteta and his players might learn a little humility and thus be a better team for it.

I’d love to see Eddie sat in the dugout near Arteta with his shirt off, bit of a belly hanging down and a huge Toon Tattoo on his birds nest, Mikel would shit himself.
