Just for fun, well actually, truth be told I'm bored as I'm at work and have nothing to do, thinking about Pep's comments earlier in the week about spending I thought I'd add up the purchase cost of both teams players who featured today.

Now clearly that's slightly skewed as the Barcodes used 5 subs, however to counter that it does include the fee for Grealish.

City total spend: 488M. Barcodes: 437m. A staggering 51m difference. Amazing how we a blowing away everyone else with our spending?

I was deliberately using the format of the (excellent) post I quoted, that’s all.

It’s hardly a unique kinda post bud, and happens regularly after most results where there has been a significant difference in opinion pre-match. It’s a staple of footy forums.

Anyway, point taken, I’ll be more explicit pre-match next time, so I can be shot down when I get it wrong ;-)

I've just got in , walked it to town had a couple , got a tram back to Ashton, would have stayed out longer but got an early start tomm going to Southport.
It's not too bad being late when we win , don't so much mind them at weekend

It’s ridiculous that a city the size of ours and as busy into the early hours has this utterly pathetic transport system. 23.17 the last Met to Mcr Airport, on a Saturday night. Wankers.

It's insane. Last buses that also leave at 22:52, even at weekend. Last time I contacted gmpte and asked if they were imposing their own curfew on the people of Manchester. They made the last bus later but it's back to an earlier time again. Why can't games kick off at 19:30??
 
Pep's happy, I'm happy. Big shift from everyone out there. Newcastle weren't that dangerous up front in the end but they were physical and they made it tough for us to play our usual stuff - their subs gave them a second wind as well and they kept us more than honest. Big shout-out to Kovacic and Foden, who were both excellent, but also to Alvarez and Akanji who were both a bit out of position and still put in some hard graft. Rodri, too, who is being pushed too far and was clearly running on empty by the end tonight. Also a special mention for Gvardiol and Grealish who made two big tackles at two key points to get the game over the line. That game at St James' Park is gonna be a difficult one.

Ffs, it’s one match, next in September and October are all 3pm, don’t get the ire, it was fucking buzzing tonight, loved it.
