A lot of people laughing at their transfer window aren't laughing anymore. Said they had a really good window and their best signing in tripper has been injured almost since he signed. Nobody could have expected the brilliant run they've put together though.

Fair play to Eddie Howe, he's given himself a shot at moulding a team to challenge higher than he's ever been at. when he came in, it screamed short term/preparing for a possible championship promotion charge but he's been fantastic and deserves the opportunity to spend some serious money this summer and see what he can do.

I'm not suggesting they'll be up there next season I think a wolves kind of season is what they can aim for but when you look at the table and the state of the teams below the top 2 maybe 3, there's nothing that you'd look at as a stumbling block. United are and will remain a mess, spurs are spurs and there's no chance in hell levy spends enough to keep conte on board. Arsenal are improving with a young squad but are still far too soft, squad depth is seriously lacking and I wouldn't fancy their chances of keeping players long term if others come knocking. Below that there's the likes of West ham and wolves who are in good shape but you can't imagine will be spending much and so will do well to stay still.

There's zero chance they get anything against the Dippers though, they aren't a defensively compact and solid team capable of withstanding the barrage Liverpool will hit them with, they will ship a hatfull, they'll pose a threat going forward but don't have enough to worry the dippers much about the result. Think they're probably more suited to giving us a harder game even though we're at home.
They will "Win" the league within the next couple of seasons.

"New name on the trophy" and all that strategic plan bollocks.

I'm new to the forum and a Newcastle fan and I'm not here to troll anybody. I hope that we can help you out today as we owe them one for when they beat us 4-3 at Anfield to hand your neighbours the title in 1996.

I think I would give us a 45% of taking something off them as the crowd and players will be up for this as we need to see how we've inproved since last playing them and our players are playing for their futures.

Watch out for Bruno as he's class and we do have a chance today with him in the team as he could run the midfield and whoever wins midfield will probably win the game, it's just a shame that Joelinton wasn't playing centrally as he's been a beast.

Welcome mate.

I hope it's "Joelinton closing in!!!" in two hours' time.

Do it for Cheryl Cole, Faustino Asprilla and the Geordie bloke at the Travelodge from Alan Partridge ;-)))

I'm absolutely buzzing for this, a few months ago we were down and now we are safe and have a part to play in who wins the title, what a turnaround. The Liverpool team doesn't look the best and Klopp looked nervous earlier.

Sorry, we just weren't good enough and the only positive for you is that we managed to keep the score down, mainly because of Dubravka in goal.
