It's trying to intimidate the opposition. There's more than one way to will the team on.
Calm down, I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. I'd just prefer fans to chant their teams name and their own players rather than boo the opposition, doing both is fine but I don't think that was the case today. Personal opinion, open forum and all that lol

Calm down?

Pair of Scousers ;-)

Man Utd legend Keane: Man City will blow title at Newcastle
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sun, 05/06/2012 - 10:59

Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes Manchester City will blow the title today at Newcastle United.

City put themselves in pole position by beating United last Monday – but Keane feels they will be tripped up at St James’ Park today.

He said: “That defeat at the Etihad was not the end of the world for United.

“I have said it before, United are still the best club. They still have the best manager, the best supporters and they can still win the league.”

Roberto Mancini takes his City team to Tyneside to face a Newcastle side battling for a top-four spot.

And Keane thinks the Magpies might yet put a spanner in City’s works.

He added: “It’s not all doom and gloom. I can see City slipping up at Newcastle.

“After winning at Chelsea on Wednesday night, they need a result as much as City.

“If United win their last two games, they’ll win the league.”

Re: What did you do when Yaya scored?

Jumped up and down in the living room where me and my friends were watching the match.

Re: What did you do when Yaya scored?

For the first I cheered and shouted that loud that my flat mates came rushing in thinking something had happened to me.

On the second I was sort of half sitting in anticipation ready to celebrate in kind urging the lads on. Instead, however, I tripped over the chair and promptly landed on my arse whilst also twatting my head on the frame of the bed...I had one hand on my temple muttering expletives and the other in the air as thanks to the beast that is Yaya.

Flat mates didn't come for the second though when I actually needed their help did they...

Thanks is also due to a certain Edin Dzeko. Until he replaced Tevez, we never really looked like scoring. Once he came on (and Yaya pushed forward), we could and should have scored five.

oh please. That had everything to do with Yaya. Dzeko did well to hold up the ball and waste time but never looked threatening.
