Whether you think he's is good enough or not he came on and did a job after 2 months of watching Balotelli fuck about at every opportunity and Tevez come straight back into the team after playing golf for 5 months. He has had to try and adapt his game to a team that doesn't play to any of his strenghts and without his goals this season we wouldn't be in the position we are in now. I've got a lot of time for Dzeko.

I went out to my front garden after the second goal and literally treated my entire road to huge shouts of yes.

I live in a mainly red area, so to hear a weasel voice then shout up from one of the houses around the corner, 'Shut up knob-head', was classic.

I shouted shut it and why they weren't at their game, wife dragged me back inside before it got any worse.

I gave a very muted"Yes!",i was sat in the home section,funnily enough the man and woman sat next to me did the same.

Sorry, but that is another argument i can not agree with. Whats to say that the player who would have been in his place would not have scored goals?

The old what if argument. The problem with that is you can just turn it the other way and go what if the player didn't score goals.

The old what if argument. The problem with that is you can just turn it the other way and go what if the player didn't score goals.

Didn't you just use this argument to say he played well as he could have scored twice?

Was sat in the directors' box, on the row behind the Pardew family incidentally, and when the first went in my brother just grabbed me and it was a sort of contained mentalism; within our two square feet of space was chaos but we restricted it to that.

Then Aguero missed and I nearly cried, then Yaya fell over and I found myself squatted down, back to the pitch staring in disbelief at my seat.

Then the second went in and, just like the rest of the City fans in the section, etiquette went out of the window and we all started jumping up and down going mental. To their credit I think the Newcastle fans could see how much it meant to us and no-one seemed to have a problem with it.

I think the De Jong substitution and pushing Yaya further up may have had more of an impact?

If van persie is available I would get rid of both balo and dzeko to make room for him, they are just to inconsistent.

He did have a part in the first goal but I am still to be convinced - must do better next season if he survives the summer. He became disheartened too easily and that is a worry for me.
