Yeah, he did.

Having right/left backs like Kolarov/Zaba definitely makes it feel like their are a couple extra players on the pitch.

ii've seen a lot of comments slagging yaya off today, but i thought he did the job he was supposed to do. i think he was under instructions to it deeper this time round so we wouldn't be battered in the middle of the park like against arsenal.

Solid game. I know some people would say great game for City. I was really hoping for some evolution in City's game and i sure hope to see more evolved attacking moves. Fernando is doing a great job, Toure was a shadow of a player from last season, and sure is not up to his best form or fitnes. I think let's say Guardiola would use Nasri, Silva, Jovetic and Aguero much better than Pellegrini. City should have a gameplan without an classic striker of Dzeko or Negredo style and use Aguero and Jovetic. Dzeko is great, but i feel that most attacking moves would be faster without that kind of striker. City seems to play to win no matter how in PL and I do not see how will this team evolve to a level to play against teams like Barca, Real, Bayern......and outplay them. I would love to see some ambition to do better, as i think City have what it takes to give way better, faster more fluid killer football. But that would not come from playing it just on tuesdays and wednesdays. Do you think Negredo or Dzeko would be first 11. in Real or Barca. I was hoping to see one more midfielder that is more mobile than toure and can play faster advansed passes. Someone like Ander Herrera or Verrati, maybe even go for Xavi.

Thought MD had another impressive game. It'll be hard decision to split Vinny and MD up from now on. They've become a very strong central pairing.

Was very impressed with Dzekos game, Aguero is from another dimension, once 100% fit, look out.

Got to give credit to Newcastle, they played a good game and will be a very competitive side this season.

Finally my football withdrawals are over, Bring on Liverpool :-)
