will be a shame if Adebayor is out Sat, esp with RSC out too.

Talked about the International friendlies and injuries. Carlos Tevez is looking in good shape and could be available for the weekend had some good training this week, Craig Bellamy has been doing light training and Adebayor has a slight groin injury. Roque Santa Cruz the usual media reports he should be back in September, no updates on Joleon Lescott and Hughes said he wants to strengthen the defence if he can or he'll go with what we've got which will be a disaster.
Couldn't agree more with that last statement, the addition of Kolo Toure alone won't be near enough to address our defensive frailties. We need Lescott, or someone else of equal stature/ability in before the end of the transfer window. To go with last seasons defence, plus Toure, would be suicidal for Hughes and could well result in his own demise.

sure Hughes will get someone in, he knows its a must to have beside Kolo.

Disaster? stop talking shite!

With Vincent Kompany injured and Kolo Toure having a slight problem in the last 2 games he as played I would definitely call it a disaster especially when Richard Dunne and Tal Ben-Haim are the other options with Nedum Onuoha. Have you watched Tal Ben-Haim?

Firstly, contribute something constructive or don't bother posting, simply replying to abuse a fellow Bluemoon member is unacceptable.

Secondly, our defence last season was shambolic, we conceded 50 goals in the Premiership, no-one else in the top 10 conceded more. Toure will improve us, but not enough. Disaster wasn't too strong a phrase to use at all, we've all know it's the defence that needs attention, so to add a backup keeper, a midfielder, 3 strikers and a centre half isn't going to cut it when it comes to preventing goals at the back.

If Adebayor is out, it makes even more of a mockery of buying an injured RSC imo.

I beleiev Adebayor was bought to step in as target man in the absence of Santa Cruz!

not sure about it being a mockery. but if he out, and with others upfront struggling, could be a bit dicey upfront Sat.

Gutted that Ade could be out. Looks like we are going to be lacking "physical presence" yet again upfront, with no Ade and no RSC. There's 3 options for the front 3 now really, and it depends on whether Tevez is fit enough to start:

..................Bellamy..............
....Robinho..................SWP...

OR

..................Tevez.................
....Robinho................Bellamy...

OR

..................Tevez.................
....Robinho...................SWP....

Which do we go for? Personally, i'd go for Robinho-Tevez-Bellamy, providing Carlos is fit enough.
