Never been convinced about having a keeper as captain, think they are too far back to effect the game as much as a captain should.

True enough but I think Nige is in the more to win the ball..but I do think think Nige is the better player.

Just because he was made captain of a reserve England squad why do
people think he should be considered for captaincy at City.
In MY opinion I would not even have him in the City team.
His first touch is appaling, he cannot put a through pass to save his life.
He cannot tackle (OK he can block if it's on his left )
He cannot shoot or head the ball.
I don't hate the guy, if he plays Sunday I hope he scores a hat trick or
plays a blinder.
Where City are concerned I hope I am proved wrong.

he gets a fair amount of sh1t on this forum, but fair play to the lad, he's always the calmest player on the pitch, a good passer of the ball and a nice lad.
he might not be the quickest, or have a right foot, but let's get behind the lad!

Funny that considering he has won more PL tackles than De Jong.
