Next Captain

give it to barry. he's always in and around the majority of the team. and also he has been villa captain for years so he has plenty of experience

I read the aticle today where Bellers ripped into the defense after the 3-3 followed by Hughes, Great he has this passion but it can be just as negative if he ailienates team mates.

This would be my worry too. Not convinced a player should be doing the job of management and people react differently to criticism - some need a kick up the backside but some need an arm round the shoulders. I'm a huge fan of Bellamy ON the pitch but not sure he should continue OFF the pitch in the same vein.

I would expect all good teams to have players who can do that within the ranks. The individuals within the team have to be strong enough to take such criticism. Those that can't maybe shouldnt be there in the first place. Bellers will give it out for sure but also he can take it as well.

He was getting stuck into Bridge toward the end of the match, was going apeshit at him, once in particular because he wasn't playing on from a throw in (from memory), but the ref had already blown time for a sub.
