Well transfers do have a major effect on the captaincy, eg players coming in could knock captain candidates out the first team, or we could buy potential captains...

Anyway, I hope it's Kompany.

With all our targets, it would be pretty amazing if Kolo was still in he team, so who could it be? Kompany? Barry? Lescott? de Jong? That's if they still start...

I really do not think we would be looking to spend £25M to £30M to buy Yaya at the same time as saying "we are nobbing your kid out of the team and the captaincy", just cannot see that happening

I think the fact that Mancini gave the armband to Given while Kolo was away shows that it's likely to stay with him this season.

It's nice to have a squad with a few candidates, i'd plump for Kompany though with Bellamy as backup.
