He is already one of the "captains", and clearly above Kevin in the pecking order, but below Ilkay. However, the Gundog is entering the twilight of his City career, so Rúben is the obvious choice.

KDB doesn't like being captain.. he'll do it if the team wants to but he doesn't like it which is why Gundogan was ahead of him this past season. Not politics or anything.. just personal preference.

Dias , he will relish the responsibility , Ruben is a player who can lift players and is more demonstrative , where as KDB leads by example his actions speak louder than words , either would be worthy leaders of the team.

Gundo for me all day long.

I get why people are saying Dias but we need someone a bit older and with more experience.

Dias likes to shout and scream but there’s a lot more to leadership than that.
