David Silva for me. The mans football intelligence needs passing on to future generations.
Undoubtedly we now attract the best, which at the start I doubted we’d do. A long time ago though. Personally I don’t care much for the CL, but it’s not me who needs impressing. To reach star status and to say this whole thing has been worth while, the CL is the holy grail. If we win that we attract whoever we want. Pep has been brought in to win it in my opinion and if he doesn’t, I’d say even he would know he’s ‘failed’.
Vinnie is club CEO material. In fact I'd go as far as to say future UEFA/FIFA President should he decide to go down that path. He is an academic with a supreme command of the English language. But more than anything, a top, top bloke - the sort of guy any kid would want for a dad.. . .only 1 candidate for me. Vinny - even if he was only 35.
Rub it into the scousers faces even more with years of continued success copying their Shankly model by bringing through from within.
Superb communicator, City legend and complete top bloke. Win Champions league first season.
