At 20 years Neymar has scored 139 goals, more than Messi (51 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (36 goals) at the same age.

In a much, much shitter league.

Brazillian Serie A has been rated as better than or on par with French Ligue 1 and Portuguese Liga in the past few years!

Neymar is not just a big fish in a small pond, but a big fish in a whole continent.

Yet Messi was playing in a top two league.

Yes, in a team full of stars and future stars, and to be World Cup and European Championship winners!

Neymar will never be Messi, but I bet he becomes a 40-50 goal a season player, not forgetting the assists!

Fair play to him saying he is not ready for Europe yet even though he does dream of the move.

If I was him I would rather leave when I feel right rather than going to Europe with a bad mind-set and not enjoying myself.

Let him enjoy the sea, sun and sand for a few more years until he grows up a little bit and it starts to become boring, then he can enjoy the rain, sleet and snow of Manchester.

Mancini's first request to City's new sporting director: Get me Brazilian superstar Neymar
By Joe Bernstein

Neymar will be on the agenda when Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini holds talks with the club's new sporting director Txiki Begiristain this week.

Mancini covets the Brazilian ace more than any player in the world and sent his most trusted aide Attilio Lombardo on several scouting trips to South America to watch him.

But there is confusion over the 20-year-old Santos striker's future, with big political pressure in Brazil to keep him in the country until they host the 2014 World Cup.

There have also been claims in Spain that Barcelona have paid a large down-payment to secure his signing.

It has left Mancini confused over whether City have a chance to sign a player regarded as the successor to Lionel Messi and Cristiano as the world's best.

He hopes Begiristain, until recently sporting director at Barca, will provide some answers when he starts work at the Etihad this week.

'I have read that Barcelona have bought Neymar but I don't know if it is true,' said Mancini.

'But I am very happy to work now with the new sporting director because he may know situations that I don't, and we can move very quickly regarding some players.

'If we work well in the next three or four years, Manchester City can be very strong.'

Mancini will want to see action in the January transfer window regardless of whether Neymar is available.

City have one point from three Champions League games so far and face Ajax on Tuesday desperate for a win.

Well not quite at the level of Scott Sinclair but Neymar will do I guess

Neymar would be the ultimate signing in my opinion.

- Financially, probably the best signing possible.
- Offers lot of goals, assists, pace and width.

From those comments from Mancini, it looks like we are very much interested in him. I really don't think Barcelona or Madrid are down right favourites to sign him as I believe the Spanish financial crisis may have a huge say in their transfer windows in the coming seasons.
