I have no idea why they'd make any sort of deal like that to be honest, but they obviously believes he's going to be big fry.
Makes sense in a way, keeps him in Brazil for as long as he wants but it gives Barca time to sort the money out , they're not exactly well off at the minute, whilst knowing they won't miss out on him
