Neymar

Neymar is an astonishingly talented player. Rips teams a new arsehole at leisure. Scores pure goals. Young and extremely 'commercial'. Devastating combination.

I think if the main heads at City had a choice they'd go for Neymar over Falcao. I know I would.

20 years old and already score 16 goals for Brazil he's going to be something big.

Dont rate him much but them stats are decent, looking a great player

How the fuck do you not rate him much??!!

Neymar went down as the most marketable sportsman in the world in January, the board aren't stupid and will see that as a reason to sign him, Soriano did it with Ronaldinho for Barcelona - they knew by signing him their revenue would rocket and it did in the end!

I would say if the club were to splurge big on a player, Neymar would be the one that made the most financial sense, massively massively marketable and only 20

His goal earlier, he is a delight to watch. He only played for Brazil yesterday but wanted to play his 200th game for Santos today and scored. Not the first time he's played two times in two days as the Brazilian league doesn't go on a break for the national team. 119 goals in 200 games.

Only 20 years and 149 goals in his career. Neymar is a genius. i'm brazilian and Neymar is our best player after 2005/2006 Ronaldinho.

This lad will be as good as Messi.

Nar, he won't .

At 21 (one year older than Neymar is now) Messi fired Barca to the treble , scoring 38 goals in all competitions during the process. And this is in European football.

Messi at 25 years old is now considered by many to be the greatest footballer that's ever lived.

Neymar may turn out to be a quality player when he eventually comes to Europe, but as good as Messi ? No chance for me

Oh dear.

Messi isnt the greatest player ever. That'd be Pele.

Pele (the greatest ever) only ever played in Brazil and USA. Scoring 620 goals in 661 league appearances.

Having said that he didn't play in 'european football' so it doesn't count does it?

I said considered by many, which you can't deny is true. I don't even feel the need to wage into the greatest ever debate because at 21 years old I've not seen enough of the likes of Maradonna and especially Pele to make a judgement on who is the greatest player ever.

And say what you like about Brazilian/American football, it is some distance off the level of European football at the minute.

The only way we'll ever know if Neymar is as good as Messi is when he come over to European football , and when that happens, I'm pretty sure he won't be as good as Messi

Brazilian star Neymar has underlined that he will decide his future and not DIS - the investment group that own part of his playing rights.

Whilst DIS - who have 40 per cent of his rights - are free to negotiate with interested parties, with Real Madrid and Barcelona known to be leading the chase - Neymar is insistent that he will dictate his own future.

Speaking after playing his 200th game for Santos, Neymar - who signed a new long-term deal last year and has been linked with Chelsea - insisted that he is not about to leave the club.

Neymar has long said he will not leave Brazil until after the 2014 World Cup being played in his homeland, but that has not stopped continued speculation.

"DIS might own a percentage of my rights, as you all know, but they don't decide about my life," he told Lancenet.

"My father and I decide about that. When you hear me or my father saying I'll leave, then you can believe that will happen.

"There are always rumours and I always say that I'll stay. And you keep saying that I'll leave. So, please, at least for once believe my word."

but you originally said there was 'no chance'. Now you're saying you'll 'never know', then your changing your mind again to being 'pretty sure'.

We dont need to continue do we?
