Wages would be the only possible problem, but then there would have to be a serious drop in football funding, for that to actually be a problem.
It's funny though, that it's all suddenly a 'problem' now, but it wasn't a 'problem' when Leeds Utd (a 'history' club to match all the others) pretty much bankrupted themselves trying to get into the Champions League Cartel & have never been a serious contender since.
It was perfectly ok, forthat to happen, without the regulators being arsed, because pretty much all the clubs they wanted at the top, were there.

Messi's stats, global appeal, contribution is miles ahead of anywhere Neymar could get to. In a few years, or one hell of a season (as with Mmuffine), Baby Jesus has as much chance as Neymar, especially as PSG doesn't have the same high profile the Basque Rags do.

No one batted a fucking eyelid when the Rags paid £75m for Lukaku, who I'd say is around half the talent of Neymar, and probably around 5% of the marketability of him. Oh, fuck it, let's be honest, Lukaku will be £90m. So, I'd suggest it's Mourinho's fault that PSG had to pay £200m.
