I am pretty sure that Kia is not his agent

I'll think you will find he is... old article but worth a read...

That piece was proven to be bollocks at the time.He advised both de Jong and Ned on certain aspects of their then current contracts and how best to get the best out of a new one.
He is not their "financial adviser or agent"

But an adviser nonetheless

Re: Nigel De Jong

as someone said earlier, are we trying to make ourselfs worse this season? Selling Johnson and De Jong and Siging Rodwell and Sinclair , that dosent make us stonger in my opinion, We have as tough or even tougher group than last season in champs league, and the Prem will be much harder this season. De Jong will be a huge miss, as we will see if we dont replace him.

Hypothetical question, who would you rather lose Kompany or de Jong?

Would De Jong be in your first 11?

Depends on the opposition, the circumstances etc
I wouldn't build a team around him, no, but I think he's an important player in the right situation.

Let me rephrase that then. Would De Jong be in your strongest 11?

To get a draw or sneak a win in a crucial away leg - yes
To dick Wigan or Aston Villa - no

I don't believe there is such thing a strongest team anymore

what shit piece of business if true. for 3.5 million we should have kept him and let him go for nothing at the end of the year if we had to

And let him go to the Rags or any of our English Rivals for free?

they'd be looking at him now at that price if that was the case as 3.5 mill is nothing in today's market. Unless he's replaced in that squad by a quality midfielder, then letting him go for that sort of money is a poor piece of business. His experience alone would be worth that during a stage of the season when we're struggling

I would argue De Jong and Johnson for Sinclair and Rodwell is not a backward step but it's all about opinions. Like arsesoles they are.

Know what your saying. I really do. Horses for courses. But last year proved we can get crucial points away without the strict defensive midfielder screen. Name me a crucial game away from home he played and we got points and I'll name two he didn't play we got points.
