Nine years ago today - FA Cup semi-final against United

What a day !!

Didn’t think we had a chance when Tevez got injured at Anfield a few days before. TBH they could have been 2 or 3 up in the first 20 mins but for the brilliance of Joey H

Then we grew into the game and ended up worthy winners

We arrived that day

I watched it from home and was very nervous. I didn't even celebrate the goal and waited for the end.

A few weeks later the family were on holiday in Portugal and my lad changed the screensaver on the computer in the hotel lobby to show Yaya smashing the ball into the United net. Every time we went in and out of the hotel we could see the lovely picture moving slowly across the screen.

Beating United at Wembley was one of the best moments of my City supporting life, spent the day in the Green Man, had a few words with the Twats on the way in, then so nervous throughout the game, but as soon as the final whistle went, the emotion was hard to fight, loved it. Had a few scuffles on the way home, but overall it was a game changer for all of us, we haven't looked back. I still get a buzz going to Wembley, after supporting City all my life and only dreaming of these days as a kid, I still get excited.

One of the great days but the relief after the final was better. To beat the rags and then lose the final would have been.....

Best. Day. Ever.

Was in The Green Man for 11 ish and the beer calmed the nerves massively. Until we went 1-0 up bizarrely when the nervousness was off the scale. Shed a few tears at (and after) the final whistle!

Not even the scummy thugs rampaging through service stations on the way home could spoil that day.

The day the balance of power changed for me. We had arrived. And they knew it.

This game though. Unfortunately it over shadowed the final. Winning against MUFC was winning the semi and lottery all in one. Journey home from Wembley I was absolutely physically and mentally drained. Good times.

Incredible day! We played really well apart from away those two chances to Berbaflop which he really should of scored. But overall we were the better side on the day and deserved to win. Yaya going past Vidic like he wasn't even there...Then the nutmeg Van Der Sar :)
