No More Champions League For Me

I know what the op is saying nut the champions league is a bonus for us as city fans, even though its an expensive one, although we have lost 2 home games in it this season I have enjoyed watching the way Bayern and barca play the game, way beyond premier league level

its a trophy I think we are a few years away from winning and a couple of positions short of at the moment, but I want us to dominate the domestic game and keep progressing in Europe

it really is a joy to watch our team at the moment in any competition

was sat on row c last night which is the cl front row .with the advertising boards pushed closer to the pitch the kids couldnt see any of the penalty area .and then a wall of photographers .worst view ever had at a football match .totaly shit for £120

I would end up banned from the ground, i'd fucking launch the cunts if they blocked my view of such a match.

"i'm doing my job mate...yeah well i paid 120 quid and have waited all my life for this so move or i'll ram your fucking camera down your bastard throat".
i honestly didnt realise the gradiantof the slope between the seats and pitch and when the advertising boards are put on top of the hill you couldnt see the area when stood up !

I will keep going but agree its nowhere near as enjoyable. People couldnt believe it earlier in the year when I said I would rather win the league than the CL and this is why

The Europa League aways were more fun and more varied IMO. I've been twice to Munich in just over 2 years and while I like the place I'll probably not bother if we get them next season.

No. 5 is a pathetic reason to not want to go to a football match.
And their was me thinking No5 should be No1

Beats me why anyone would want to pay for the overpriced piss that gets served up inside football grounds but each to their own I suppose.
That's what it is, I always wondered why the beer in the ground tasted funny...it's piss!!! and their was I thinking they hadn't cleaned the lines properly

I'm actually staggered by some of the posts on here.
Years in the wilderness seeing the rags playing Champions League football whilst we were languishing in the second division and shit - now we have taken their place and folk are moaning about it.
It's unbelievable.
I'm not keen on the pricing and corporatisation in European football, but that goes hand in hand with watching the best in the world.
If I wanted to see the Bolshoi ballet or the Rolling Stones, that would cost me even more.
Folk need to get a grip here.

Exactly and you have to be in the cup scheme to get on those. Overhyped bollocks run by idiots. It's everything that's wrong with modern football in a nutshell. I was looking forward to last night's match and it was a let down, largely due to the over fussy refereeing. It's as if UEFA are so scared of their cash cow superstars getting injured that opposing players can't go within 3 feet of them.

So because I don't drink and go to a football match to watch football I'm a snob?

Sound logic.

People like to be able to purchase an alcoholic beverage in the ground, on European nights they can't do this (for no good reason). I can see why all these things add up and might make people stop going to future games.
Indeed, perhaps being treated as though we're children incapable of controlling ourselves invites ire. All the more so considering the hypocritical twats at UEFA willingly accept money from Heineken.

It's also ironic that if you're in the posh seat you can drink to your hearts content, which says everything about the champs league imo

I think majority think that way - winning the league is the most important.
