Non england followers World Cup 2014

Any team with a blue and no rags in the team will get my backing. I'll put a bet on nearer the time and support whoever i've got my money on, certainly won't be England
 
As a Scot I was supporting Croatia last night. I hope all the home nations lose. I hate International football with a passion as it disrupts club football.

No problems for those that enjoy it... I did once. I actually wish I could get behind my nation but I just get angry thinking about international football. I can't believe how grumpy I've become!
 
I am a born and bred Englishman, but I cannot and will not entertain the thought of cheering Rag players in the English side no matter how this may offend some England supporters.
I have followed City since the late 60s and I am STILL at a loss to why some plastic blues can cheer RAG players, England or not.
The abuse/hatred from their players and fans alike over the many years I have followed City means I will never be able to cheer for an England side that for the past 20 plus years has been dictated to mostly by what United want.
 
Holy hell. Did you guys see Mexico almost didn't even make the WC playoff versus New Zealand last night. It took the US to score in stoppage time with its 'B' to keep Panama from qualifying for the playoff.

In a sport tainted from time-to-time with suspicious results all the way up to the awarding of where the tournament will be played, I thought it was pretty amazing that we (the US) basically just gifted our biggest rivals--and make no mistake we HATE El Tri--a path to the Finals in Brazil. We could easily have laid down the entire match but especially at the end when it was known that the results as they stood would eliminate Mexico. Part of me desperately wanted us to throw the game towards the end, but fair play to our "B"-team" of squad players trying to impress the coaches to make the trip to Brazil. Bizarre photos of our players consoling the Panamanians after the final whistle. I think everyone involved with the USMNT was pleased with the effort but genuinely sorrowful of what the result entailed.
 
Yeah back in '96 I went completely mental when Southgate missed that penno. But that's about the last time I was really big into the international game.

I like watching matches, and want sides that have Blues on them to do well, but that's about as far as it goes.

Not like I want England to do poorly. I'm just of a mind with that earlier poster who could not imagine cheering a rag player. For example, Grannyshagger scores last night and my immediate reaction was "fuck right off and take your syphilitic chav of a wife with you."
 
I have no passion for the national side at all, no idea what the main factor is. Probably down the the FA being dicks and the amount of wankers who actually play for the team. I could never ever bring myself to cheer Rooney or any other shithouse on that team.
I would rather the city under 12's girls reserve team win a friendly than england win the world cup
 
I used to slag my Rag mates off for their "don't give a shit about England" stance.

But since City have become successful I don't care as much about them. I still want them to win but I'm not that bothered when they don't.
 
When I see how many second rate players nowadays are getting into the England team it gives me no cause to cheer whatsoever..

Having said that,with nothing to gain we could do quite well..time will tell.
