I have been severely criticised by renegade Evertonian son for wanting to flick over from the England match last night to see if Negredo, Silva or Navas had scored for Spain. As for following England? Meh.

I hate the media wankfest, not to mention the half a rag side as that's what the F A decide the public want. I'd not cross the road to pay and watch England and would get more enjoyment from winning the Senior Cup....well almost.

International football is just a relaxing experience as its the only time I don't care who wins and can be neutral.

If I had to pick anybody to follow it would be the Argentines.

for me. I don't get this new wankfest for hating England. Yes we are not that good and there are rag players in the team, that is paid employees not fans

I enjoy the media frenzy and over optimism that comes with WC and so on, inevitably its a let down because we are full of shit but when the sun is shining and im sitting with my mates with a pint watching England its always a good day/night. 2006 is a flurry of pissed up days with my mates watching god knows who just because it was football and we all agreed we love football no matter who you support.
We will go out second round or Q Final and im okay with that its nothing new if we get some form or unbelievable luck and make it to the semi finals (think S Korea in 02) then that's brilliant

Why is it up to the FA? for all this knowing they can win it Spain have won it once the same amount of times as us and only with one of the greatest international sides of all time, Germany may have won it 3 times but the last was 1990 and they have had it at home in that time. Brazil well they are Brazil, they do winning tournaments. Argentina since winning it in 1986 have always been among the favourites to win and haven't won it. The end of the day its not always the best team that win, I mean fuck knows how Italy won it in 2006
