Non league football.

Great days indeed Chicago , sneaking onto the pitch for a kick about , felt like a real player . Early eighties Bob Murphy had a great team with the likes of Skeete , Moore , Smith and O’keefe who went to Everton for 25 k , great FA cup runs and regular attendances upto a thousand fans. Unfortunately I believe alot of the finances went AWOL .
Remember buzzer playing when they beat Crewe in FACup at Seel Park, great day out Wembley for Trophy v Dagenham

Some of the abuse by fans dished out at non league games is just outrageous some times. Alcohol and being able to stand where you want and minimal stewardship is just the platform that allows grown men to give dogs abuse to away fans and the players.
I remember fans from teams like Merthyr Tydfil and other rum areas like fisher athletic etc bring full of proper loons who would just give you shit all game. One game I was playing the “fans”behind the goal spent all game abusing me. I then snapped and gave a bit back. For a moment I was like shit I’m in trouble now but to be fair there seemed to respect me a bit afterwards and the banter seemed to ease up a bit.

As some have alluded to though some of those prices to attend is a joke. I know it’s a fine balancing act but they don’t want to price fans from attending.

The hardest job in world football has to be being a Liner in English non league

Closest ground to me is Carshalton athletic so been to watch them few times for 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon kick offs. Think currently in Isthmian league premier Division and stadium named War Memorial stadium in honour of members of club who lost their lives in first world war
