North Stand Construction Discussion

Stan Gibson’s daughter Janice still attends games
Didn't realise she was still attending. I used to sit next to Janice and her hubby in 126 at Maine Road. Lovely lady, and loved a bit of bants with the adjacent away dugout. Although, she did it by proxy by giving ideas and encouragement to us more vocal, younger types around her.

American stadiums inside are something else

What about this for a skin for the stadium

I went to a Raiders game in Vegas last year, best stadium I’ve ever been too. I can’t wait until the day when the unveil a wrap for the Etihad. I think we’re another ten years away though as both Colin bell and East stand will be extended.

Jacksonville, home of the "Jag-wars"! I wouldn't be gone on the reflective nature of the exterior of that stadium. It'll look nice in sunny Florida. But on a grey January day in Manchester, with the rain coming down at 45°, and a force 9 blowing, and it starting to get dark at 3 o'clock ; hmm, maybe not.

Went to sort a ticket ( ground floor in souvenir shop), that hadn’t arrived on phone. Was able to park directly outside the “new “ souvenir shop. Smile at lady at barrier helped.

Only know as I saw her a few seasons ago and spotted her on video behind the away dugout

The souvenir store is now at at the old City At Home building next to the main entrance and security barrier, where the players coach comes in. The souvenir store staying there until the redevelopment of the North stand, including the new and larger souvenir store is completed and open.
Where are the admin people that where in it then ?

Oh I don't know about that. In common with Newcastle fans, supporters of what they like to call the 'real' Liverpudlian club are so deluded as to believe they have some divine right to be winning trophies. Prior to our recent success, Everton fans were the ones who routinely chanted "You've never won fuck all" whenever they played at our place. So, thick as pig shit as well as delusional. Nah, fuck 'em along with their feral cousins across Stanley Park.

As i have some good friends who are Evertonians and have never slagged us off nor berated us about out wealth, we have a difference of opinion here fellow Blue.
However, on the other hand the LiVARpool Klan, with a couple of exceptions (BIL and another friend) are, as you say, Feral Scroats!

Liverpool's era of dominance of English football ended 33 years ago ! Anybody under the age of thirty won't even remember it ! They may have had cups and one league title spasmodically but their fans live in a dream world that it was yesterday when they were the top dogs ! Since then both us and United have been the most dominate forces in the land !

I'm in my late 30s and growing up Liverpool were a novelty rap, bad suits at FA cup finals, and the occasional European cup run until Klopp came along.

this season seems to be more difficult to buy random tickets. I would say the way things are going it wont be a problem filling the new north stand once built

the liverpool fans of the 70s and 80's had the same arrogance as the rags fans in the 90s and 2000. Glad to see they have both been put in their place..
