People should be able to go where they want as long as they understand the nature of the stand. I personally have no problem with premium seating or families being there if they know that it is expected that they would join in with the singing and help create the atmosphere.

Of course they can and I didn't suggest otherwise. What they can't do is take kids into a safe standing tier (hopefully) and then complain that they've paid good money and can't actually see the game or complain about bad language. If you're taking kids you need to use the family stand where ever that may end up being.

On the planning application it’s the same 2nd tier and the new section joins up with it.

Pretty sure it will be a new SPS(lightweight construction due to being cantilevered) tier at the front of the new 2nd tier.

The design document shows a diagram and labels the original terrace while showing and describing how the new terrace will be bolted on at the back to create one seamless tier.

Does anyone have the document? It's not letting me access it at the moment. I can dig out the image.

The planning portal apparently times out so links directly don't work. You have to go to the home page and search for Etihad, it'll be the 2nd (big) one.

It's possible that the existing front of the 2nd tier is SPS construction and they're reusing it but on the plans they call it 'New SPS tier' with a 'New pre-cast tier' for the rest of it.

Can’t be arsed reading through a million pages but is the new north stand going to be safe standing or kept as a family section?

I’m in 115 and would relocate there if it’s going to be a singers / oiks end.

I don’t want to be being shushed and told to sit down with all the packed lunch and crossword brigade.

Yeah, just realised that the 'New SPS tier isn't at the front but part way up. No idea of the reasoning.
