If it‘s on schedule? Coop Live Arena, etc, supply chain issues and prices increases across the board, etc. Give it a bit longer. ;-)

Doesn’t take 3 years to add a new tier/extend a current tier. You can build an entire stadium in that time. Usually an 18 month job including groundworks.
They’re actually starting it early when compared to the South Stand - October 2023 with a finish for August 2025 so they have plenty of time. South Stand was February 2014 for groundworks with construction starting in July/August 2014. The stand was open for August 2015.
The hotel doesn’t start construction until August 2024 and won’t be finished for 2 years after that so we won’t be waiting for that to be completed before the stand is opened or anything.
Point taken, but it’s not just a tier, the hotel aside.
The stand, including the expanded tier, and the fan plaza will stretch all the way back to the back of the current souvenir store. The South stand was a few metres back ( in comparison) with an additional tier.
Not going to dwell on it. Looking forward to the build, regardless of how long it takes.

People will get a similar but better view of the city centre skyline from the platforms on the roof walk corners.
These pictures were taken from the top of the CBS spiral before the players coach arrived on Wednesday.
Current towers under construction and finished and new towers under construction will be visible on the city centre skyline in 2 to 3 years time when the North stand expansion is completed.

The Sydney Opera House perhaps?
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon?

Does anyone know if the work will disrupt people currently sat in level 2 NS. Will the new bit just get added to the back of the old bit or is the whole stand being replaced?

Added to the current tier according to the design document. The back row of SSL2 was temporarily lost during construction of SSL3 though so it’s a possibility that could happen with NSL2 during this new construction.
