CEO's etc, the gap between rich are poor is becoming crazy but that's a completely different argument and not for here.

Totally agree but players wages are obscene and need sorting.

The "product" attracts huge (even massive!) amounts of TV and sponsorship income, primarily because the viewers want to watch the top players in action. So why shouldn't the players receive a significant proportion of those monies in wages? Do you tune in to watch football club directors and shareholders because if you cut players wages more of the income will disappear down those routes, or alternatively the players will bugger off elsewhere and the income from TV etc will drop.
