North Stand Construction Discussion

Is there enough spectator demand to warrant an extension ? Decent attendancies but many matches the stadium is not full. Just asking.
Last season we allowed people to defer their season tickets for a year if they didn’t feel safe (or if they had been suffering after effects of…) around Covid.

This season every game has been a sell-out and full.

If a stadium is ever full, it means it’s too small and more tickets could be sold.

Even if that means some games are not full after an expansion and there are fluctuations in attendances (like what used to happen in the 1930s-70s where one week there’d by 35,000 at Maine Road and the next week 65,000, then 12,500 for a Wednesday afternoon game, then 75,000 on the Saturday…). That’s fine.

I wouldn’t mind, but we’ve been saying the same thing season after season, yet the following season match day ticket prices have gone up again.

It makes you wonder what prices match day tickets will be next season. If these match day ticket prices rises keep on going up, eventually City fans will be paying £100 for a match day ticket.

It’s obvious Khaldoon, Soriano and the other directors of the club aren’t taking a blind bit of notice of what the fans are saying, as they know tickets are currently selling out.

Just wait until Pep has gone, and maybe Haaland, who is the reason why matches are selling out this season. Wait and see what the match day ticket drop off is like then, although that will be 2 seasons away, after the North stand has been expanded by 6000+ seats.

The average home attendance when we won the league in 1967/8 was only 36,000, with 63,000 in for the Manchester Derby, and some games in the twenties.

Why is who not selling to mancunians, should they only sell to those with Manchester post codes What does that even mean, do not mancunians move away to other places ? Daft question.
Try thinking the whole scenario through and logic may prevail.

The price of tickets for Rotten Ham Cock Spurts is capped at £30 THIRTY £30, so flexible pricing IS possible.

This could be the lowest physical attendance of the season so far and City have done NOTHING to change that.....shameful !!

Agree with what you’re saying in terms of Khaldoon and co don’t give a shit about the original fan base and probably are aiming for 100 quid a game eventually. However, they do run the recruitment side very well and after Pep we won’t end up with someone like Hughes again. So i can’t see us tailing off too much. Suppose if utd and Liverpool get bought by crazy rich owners and Newcastle and Chelsea kick on we could have a spell around 4/6th in the league. Be interesting to see what would happen then with our new fans.
