Because it's the Villa North stand that's being expanded.

I think @Gone for a Burton has suggested the stand will be called The Great Northern. This feels a little clunky to me. Imagine a commentator referring to it like that. Thinking about how the club already refer to the fans what about The Cityzens End?

the cityzens end is the worst suggestion I've heard and that's something considering some of the suggestions are 1000 % meant as jokes

Fans and commentators will probably abbreviate it to ‘The Northern End’ in a similar way that The Kippax Street was abbreviated to ‘The Kippax’ although I cant recall many commentators ever identifying it as such.

There is an area close by called Holt town so how about calling it the Holt end?

I think they will because its not just an added tier like SS3 it's a whole new design (huge second tier) hotel etc etc

Ok but people are just assuming yeah? They haven’t actually said they plan on re-naming it?
