North Stand Construction Discussion

Yes I get that, just wondering the difference in cost between building a new roof and supports compared to adding just a few rows to the sides and a new roof. Whether the difference wouldn’t be cost effective with how few seats would be added.
To be fair as I’m typing I realise I’m guessing with absolutely no knowledge :)
Like most of us on here ; )

Get the Colin Bell and East stand expanded, this side will bring in 10,000s of new fans, come on City, let's beat the 85k record, pep and the boys deserve it.

Can someone clarify something for me?
I believe the North stand currently holds 6000.

What will if hold when all the work is finished?

It’s safe to say the hotel is going to generate very good revenues. I wonder if a room will guarantee a match ticket/s as part of the price on matchdays, as a booking option?

On Super Bowl Sunday, four football fans will wake up in a hotel room inside State Farm Stadium.

Specifically, they will be in a Courtyard by Marriott suite on the loft level that is decked out with a bed, kitchenette, restroom and seats overlooking the field where the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will compete for the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 2023 in Glendale, Arizona.

As the NFL’s official partner for more than a decade, Courtyard by Marriott built a hotel suite inside a stadium suite and invited one Super Bowl Sleepover contest winner and their guest.

Just to put investment in new hotels into perspective, and the on-going demand for hotel rooms in Manchester, which will only increase with the new arena, etc.

Lamington Group’s proposals would see a long-neglected site located close to Manchester Piccadilly station redeveloped into a 31-storey hotel.

The 251-bedroom hotel, to be operated by Room2, is aiming to be the “best reviewed hotel in the UK and the country’s first net zero tower”, according to a design statement by architect Bennetts Associates.

About 14k, less than spurs which fans out more, same as the stretford end, about 1k more than Evertons new stand at BM and more than the kop

Not sure if it holds 6,000 or not currently, but this proposal expands it by 7,910 taking overall capacity just shy of 62,000. 14,000 in the North Stand sounds about right.

Of that, there are 600 seats for hospitality in Level 2 as discussed at length on here. And then 10 suites at the very top with a 12 person capacity each.

It will be an absolute beast of a stand and will make a racket with the right people in it. You're talking about circa 10,000 people in an extended second tier under a roof... noise levels will be insane.

And it will look in-cred-ible :)
