A couple observations from the latest CP video.
First of, well done in making a 45 minute video of not very much happening still feel interesting and easy to watch even if in segments. The inbetween commentary and going to see differet bits in zones at a time was engaging.
The curve of the whole piece across its length is really evident from the side views.
They will have planned for the lift with exactly this crane, as you can see the connection holes have been cast into the steel at specific places. Which is in no way surprising, but worth noting.
The bottom piece at each end either has been disconnected from the temporary end, or more likely was never connected, but it doesn't touch it. Those pieces I think are really there to brace the top ends during the build, not the lift, so other pieces can be connected without movement. It would make more sense this being removed before the lift and on the ground, but then needs steadier restraint through it. This bit will take some time regardless.
There are 5 props to remove, on either side. Unless they started on that after CP left, there will be time in that. Each top is just high enough to need mewp access, so each time it has to park up and move into position, and that takes say 7-10 a go minutes just to get to. And others have to be clear of the area, so there is time in disconnecting these where not much can be done.
Unless they are starting first thing, prob wont be ready to actually move till late morning, eventhough it is connected to the crane now. Plus any additional checks.
Interesting seeing so much framing up on the hotel, wont be long before most of it is covered. Each vertical line will (apart from at the gables) will carry a sail so you can start to forsee the density and and scale of that. At some point in the near future, would expect to see connections to the etfe rooof trusses appear too, which will then show the height of the covered space. The hotel has almost topped out too, once the roof is complete.
Really top effort CP, and commitment here.
