North Stand Construction Discussion

The crane was still supporting the steel frame last night when I came back from town at 5pm. The crane workers and construction workers had gone home.

CP Overview drone video from yesterday.

Deffo starting to get a sense of what it maybe like there on a match day. Good pic.

Guess the next interestung bit of action to look out for when the skybar is fully built, would be when they position the cherry pickers on top of the two towers to build the quadpod supports.

I assumed these would be built on the ground and fitted as one piece , then the cherry picker used to transfer the cables ?? Or even a cradle on the end of the tower crane jib , whatever but I’m glad I’m not doing it !!

Worth noting that these weren’t implemented until the steel roof sections were nearly completed with the South Stand build. Could obviously happen in reverse this time round though.

For now they’ll be looking to complete the sky bar/hotel box, terracing and connecting floors as these require materials to be lifted in by the crane - which will be obstructed once the roof starts.
