North Stand Construction Discussion

I will post the Pictures and videos tomorrow morning.

I haven’t had time today. Sorry.

TBH the pictures aren’t that exciting, and are mainly Sarens staff high up in cherry pickers working on the steel structure. The videos are ground level panos of the crane, steel structure, and stand.

The first of the 3 short videos.
All the 3 videos are pretty much the same, but slightly different.
The video was taken on my mobile.
The video is a little jerky due to the 3 zoom settings.
It was also cold and my hands were freezing.
I don't think CP Overview and SS Skies have anything to worry about, even at ground level.
There is no commentory, but if you turn the sound on, you can hear work going on onsite.
Feel free to share the video. :-)

Thanks that gives a better perspective, being from ground than higher, as the new section seems to blend in less
The drone videos are great though and watching the connection to the structure, where the rigger was trying to line up was fascinating

I won't post the 2nd video. It's similar to the 1st video.

The 3rd video is slightly further back from the construction site on Joe Mercer Way.

Is there a plan to do any resurfacing work on the area around it once the works are complete? Always think the area around it, the bridge etc look a bit dated and untidy now

I would think so. Definitely around the new North stand, and on Joe Mercer Way.

If you, or someone else of course, were to make a few predictions about what they would build on the collar site, what would you guess?
How about the Northern International Dispute Resolution Centre NIDRC. While we're at it, a satellite campus for the Manchester University Dept of Law. So along with our football graduates we can develop our own KCs. The ones that don't cut the mustard can fcuk off down to the PL.
