I’m no structural engineer but I assume it’s not mainly a vertical load , hence the need for the rear connections, don’t think 4 of the flat connections would work due to the vast force of the horizontal load ( IThink anyway)I think the two sets of cross plates are a bad design to line up at that weight and height.
Maybe if there was three sets of plates on each to mate with 3 prongs it would be easier to line up and give more space for bolting.
Just use a thicker gauge plate.
Looking at it. The two flanged diameters are the more load bearing.
