Thanks MP - on a day I’ve shed a tear or two that made me laugh. I shall raise a glass to you.Thats why i love this forum. I got a good laugh at myself from this one
I will never understand it, but each their ownSat right in the middle of Pep stand.
Singing right and left and behind us, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I thought South Stand were good too.
But on 36 minutes I watched hundreds exiting for the bars, in the south, the same where I was sat. With 3 minutes added, and many not returning until after Villa equalised, nearly 30 minutes, I do not get it.
The atmosphere fell flat until the subs were made. I know it will not change, i just do not understand it.
Brilliant that 99.9 % of blues stayed, it was a memorable day.
I’m just to the left of pep in the Colin bell stand. So I get a good perspective of the atmosphere from both ends of the ground. This must be an acoustics thing, seen quite a few in the SS say they couldn’t hear anything from the Pep stand.
But I’m bang on halfway in the East lower and the north stand was definitely and noticeably louder than the south for large parts of the game
The pretty shameful, bone idle, complacent, shambolic no-show by the players in the second half did a lot to suck all the life out of the stadium
The continuous uninterrupted sweep from the L2 East and CB stands, into the vast NS is a thing of beauty.
Fucking huge !!The Stand that Pep built.View attachment 193191
You didn’t hear anything from the Pep stand?Looked mint from the south stand, didn't hear anything from them though. Would be good to hear genuine noise started from that end next season but I have my doubts.
Up the south stand
Nope. Nothing notably different from usual. I'm not doubting anybody saying it was good but from south stand lower I noticed nothing and neither did anybody else around us. Some even sang a small rendition of "north stand, give us a song" about 3 times and booed every time because we didn't hear anything back. You didn’t hear anything from the Pep stand?
It was rocking mate.
Ironically, we didn’t hear that in the NS.Nope. Nothing notably different from usual. I'm not doubting anybody saying it was good but from south stand lower I noticed nothing and neither did anybody else around us. Some even sang a small rendition of "north stand, give us a song" about 3 times and booed every time because we didn't hear anything back.
Most people in the ground assumed this was sattire. SSL1 couldn't compete with SSL3 and NSL2 today.Nope. Nothing notably different from usual. I'm not doubting anybody saying it was good but from south stand lower I noticed nothing and neither did anybody else around us. Some even sang a small rendition of "north stand, give us a song" about 3 times and booed every time because we didn't hear anything back.
