North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Are you sure? I think the 93:20 are included in those full blocks, not certain though.
Yep... 93:20 is only on the Southern section of CBL2 and ESL2. The Northern section (which is separated in each stand by a full hospitality/corporate section on the half way line) has not been converted to GA+ seating (yet).

A start would be to fuck Flexi Gold off + the £150 markup (for good), and instead offer new normal season tickets for the expanded North stand.

But Khaldoon, Soriano & Co aren't going to take any notice of a no-mark posting on Blue Moon.
The supporter gets a guaranteed seat/significant discount on the matchday price and the club gets to know weeks in advance if they’re turning up or not, avoiding the problem of no-shows and season ticket hogging. You talk a lot of sense jrb but in the scheme of things flexis are not a problem, they have gone to fans who are loyal and vocal, it’s horses for courses like a lot of things fans have paid for over the years like Superbia, Platinum, cup schemes, Joe’s, parking, 93:20 etc

In 2022/23 block 204 and part of 202 (north side of EL2) were taken out of GA and started at £1,750 for a new sports bar. It will creep block by block.

What are the empty seats below, at L1?

I can't agree with many of today's posts...

The expansion is definitely needed. We shouldn't judge it based on a low-key, midweek game in late November. Instead, we should base it on the derby and Liverpool at home (plus games like Real Madrid in the Champions League) where demand is far higher than the current capacity.

Hopefully, it will benefit us regulars in the long term (the club will lower prices for games like last night to ensure more seats are filled).

I do think the increased GA+ seating capacity (as well as the lack of a push for 'atmosphere' in the expanded NS) will lead to essentially a bigger version of the current NS, though (lots of tourists/away fans/empty seats when compared with areas like SSL1). The club (Soriano) want Disney Land. They don't care about the atmosphere or hardcore fans. They want ANYONE who will go and spend a lot of money (on tickets and in the club shop) to fill the stadium. It's not about support; it's about revenue.
It is arguably 2/3 years too late.

The arena took precedence.

Pre selling tickets 2/3 years ago would have generated huge demand.

Priorities !!

Flexi Gold is bad for fans. It's a money grab from the club (otherwise, they would just offer new season card holders the choice of Flexigold or a standard season card - I know which one I'd take).

Asking fans to pay £150 more than a normal season card is wrong.

Asking fans to log in and buy a ticket for each game proves it's not a season card; it's a membership that guarantees discounted matchday tickets.

Having to log in three weeks before a game and not being able to transfer or cancel the purchase afterwards is not flexible.

It's a terrible idea, and it comes at the expense of proper season cards, which are the lifeblood of a fanbase.

I would have thought Flexi gold is a good idea if you can't make the game & if you can't it gets sold on
Many people buy season tickets then bin games like last night.it there choice though .but it can be if and or I size never fits all

Flexi-golds were mainly introduced to get youngsters on the season card ladder. The families I know with flexi-golds enjoy having them. Hopefully, the up front charges can be reduced. It’s about £50 juniors when you knock off the City junior membership fee but the tickets are much cheaper than match day individual tickets.

It’s also a route for adults who have struggled to get on the season card ladder. Some of these Blues would have got on the season card ladder if they hadn’t been brainwashed that Supoorters Clubs were a bad thing, as a small number of season cards continued to be released through Branches / the OSC until recent years.

I think there needs to be a route to a full season card where flexi-gold season card holders can show they are turning up for virtually every game. The current average attendance of season card holders is 14 home games per season.

There are bigger issues like more affordable match day tickets.

Also, if you remember one of our lot said the other week that his mate who had Flexi Gold couldn't get a derby ticket as he logged on the day after the 3 week deadline was up and the club had already flogged it. Now I get that it's the responsibility of the fan to make sure they don't miss the deadline but people have other stuff going on in their lives, could easily forget to do it, and by the time they've remembered it's then too late.
