Being bored with nothing to do. Why is there always something to do these days. Not that you'd tell mum or dad you were bored, not unless you liked hoovering, folding washing or peeling potatoes.

Proper bins that the binman would carry (from the back of your house no less). Just one bin per house or two if you were a big family.

Going to another town and realising town centres were different, not the same row of shops.

Going somewhere and nobody knew where you were, incommunicado!

Using bird scare bangers for fireworks as they were cheap. They’d come on a rope of 12, was supposed to light the rope and every 30/60 mins one would go off….we’d take them off the rope and light from the fuse, had a 3 second fuse at best once removed.
