And above all else, someone who is a Blue (for whatever reason that might be)at least is not a dirty red scummy bastard

mods, please close the thread.. and all new ones :)

Pleading with the referee? Surly that's interfering with play!

PS. I think the mods might just be cool enough to make their own decisions.

PPS. :-) told you I was trying.

To be honest I haven't got an issue with foreign fans supporting City and as some on here have highlighted they have been with the club for a number of years and therefore I respect the dedication like I would any other fan.

However I dont agree with the opinion of the OP that he is the same as any fan on this forum. His reason for supporting the club was based on our imminent arrival as a big club (we already are a big club). Thats not the reason I supported the team, it was passed down to me through the family and my support is representative of the town I was born in.

There is a differenece between fans and I would include myself in that. I will openly admit myself there are much bigger blues on this forum than myself, as although a season ticket holder I dont go every away game, and I wouldnt dream of comparing myself to the likes of the super fan of this world, who would travel the breadth of the country to watch City second string in the carling cup third round on a tuesday night. Similarly some fan who has 'discovered' City one year ago is not the same as me. Yes enjoy the club and support it but come on OP your support is not the same as other fans on this board and fans who attend games who live and breathe the club,

The bigger the world wide fan base gets ,the bigger City will get. I for one welcome new fans wherever they come from and whatever there reasons for supporting City might be. Just because I live in Manchester and go home and away dont make me a bigger and better fan than someone who has never been to a game dont go with all this iam a bigger better fan than you shit that we tend to get on this forum.

I dont think our new world wide fans will know what your on about......Ha.Ha.

I'm proud that all over the world City fans will be tuning into the match on Sunday and at God knows what hour to see us hopefully lift the Premiership trophy. Every opportunity I've had to take other football supporters form around the world, South Africa, Japan, Europe etc to Maine Road, Eastlands or away games since the 1970s I've taken it. Hopefully we have a new army of fans because of it. We are different and they felt that. We are a global 'brand' whether we like it or not but in reality we are the lucky ones. Home, away and in Europe we can watch City live, week in week out. I wish all true blues the best of health and have a good one on Sunday. It won't always be like this though and when the times get tough again, as they will, you will also still be following us. It's not a life choice. Being a Blue means always being a Blue. It's in your blood and I know if we win on Sunday wherever you are you will be part of a wider community celebrating that success. Welcome to 'our' world. It's special. That is what makes us different from the rags. We are not glory hunters but one community.

Now now, we have to learn to share. Now with FFP we need new fans more than ever, as long as they love the club and take the good with the bad and arent just in it for the glory then i for one will welcome them

So you think the new 'fans' won't just fuck off if we ever do hit some bad times again? They want to attach themselves to a winning club so they can celebrate in the glory likes it's their own. They have some sort of unfulfilled success in their life and they think by attaching themselves to a club they will finally get the success they so desperately crave but are too stupid to achieve by themselves.

Personally I hate every single one of these new fans. I've berated rags all over the country (and even some in other countries where I was on holiday) for their reasons for supporting them. They have no right to celebrate what has been achieved this season. I couldn't just decide to support a club. Every victory would feel hollow as I know I'm trying to make up for my own inadequacies by pretending I'm a part of Manchester city.

They are not proper blues and never will be and it's disgusting that people are so accepting of them.
