Large clubs now have directors of football for that side which leaves the "manager" more time to coach, hence the job title change to "coach"

In the "good old days" there were instances of a club having a General Manager and a Manager

Apart from some unforced errors and mistakes, which there have been many this season unfortunately, i think that was one of our best performances tbh. First half we seemed to have that control back that we've not had in months, Kovacic excellent and i thought again Bernardo looked close to his old self (minus a few lazy passes).

Very fair and balanced is was not.

Atrocious coverage. I watched, but as usual had recorded the game. Watched the prematch stuff back later and wondered if we were actually playing?? It was all Forest.

Expect more of the same Palace bias on final day....

The first half was, the second half wasn’t and I think that’s why Pep didn’t look overjoyed at the end of the match being the perfectionist that he is.

The errors need cutting out. Like you say they have been in evidence all season. We have had bits of luck in the last few games (post saving us) which have helped but the errors are still there. It’s like they lose concentration at key times. Hopefully 1/2 more players are back in the next few weeks and we get better still. We have improved a lot but we need to see it out now, win the cup and get top 5.

Early goal was big as it scuppers their whole game plan. I have been critical of our play, lineups etc but it has been refreshing watching us play on the front foot, attack with purpose and close to playing like a City team. Even if we lose that way I can live with it, but it feels Pep has (finally) found a solution to the problems we have faced. We still look a bit dodgy at the back at times but being more productive going forward balances that out. I am just enjoying watching us again so keep it up until the end of the season blues

City played some great football yesterday. Kovacic was brilliant and owned the centre of the park. He was everywhere, right place, right time every time. Bernardo superb alongside him, ran and ran. So pleased for Rico. That advanced position suits him. Marmoush and Nico O quality. Aside from one give away, Josko was mint at the back. Him and Ruben rock solid.

Pep got it spot on yesterday. Forest's chances were almost all from our defensive fuck ups. We strangled them. If we had a bit more creativity upfront yesterday, the game would have been over by half time.
