Yeah without that loss we wouldn’t have had Charlton! What a day that was too, brilliant days.Arrived in Nottingham about eleven as the pubs were opening an absolute chaotic day on and off the pitch, City fans were not angels back in the day, Third biggest away following in my experience.
No 1 good bad Friday Oldham.
No 2 Blackburn away promotion
No 3 Notts County away.
I remember being gutted, the result however led to one of my favourite ever days on the real Kippax when it was standing the promotion game against Charlton.
Any Forest seeking mither ?Remember it well - went on Mainline coach - a few of the lads on that coach got in the dressing room at half time - not sure of the attendance figure but think ground capacity was 17/18 thousand and couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 thousand Notts County fans there
How many at Oldham ?Arrived in Nottingham about eleven as the pubs were opening an absolute chaotic day on and off the pitch, City fans were not angels back in the day, Third biggest away following in my experience.

I note your user name, were you at Millwall's the old ground in 88? when we won 1-0 if i remember we were locked in in the ground for about an hour after the game.Yeah without that loss we wouldn’t have had Charlton! What a day that was too, brilliant days.
Might be right on the following. I think United away in the cup when we lost 1-0 takes some beating. We had loads there that day.
Was there i think we hit the woodwork about four times,Notts county 90/91 still haunts me to this day.!!!!
From memory the official attendance was approx 20000, Oldham's average attendance that season was below 4000, when we arrived at the ground, the Ques were that large hundreds decided to just climb over the walls to the ground, We went into Oldham's home end, ended up in a scrap, its impossible to say but i would estimate about 17000.How many at Oldham ?
They were away at the swamp that dayAny Forest seeking mither ?
I'd throw that Leeds FA Cup game into the hat too with the pitch invasion by them.Yeah without that loss we wouldn’t have had Charlton! What a day that was too, brilliant days.
