why would Spurs sell them Modric if it means bitter rivals Arsenal strengthen by getting Sahin

Only reason could be AVB dont want Sahin. There was an article on Marca saying AVB didnt want him and felt he was too slow.

personally its clear what happened. Real fed their paper that Sahin would go to Arsenal so Spurs make a move for him and include him in the Modric deal. I do believe Spurs want him and will get him eventually. This was just a move to make them react. And for the reports saying he ws on his way to England yesterday....he must travel alot as he's on his way to USA with Real madrid today. the story yesterday was bull

His problem is he wants to stay at Reala and they dont really want him. Even mourinho said yesterday if he gets a chance to play somewhere it would be best for him to go. if a manager ever said that I would pack my bags straight away. But he has kept saying i want to fight for me place

Modric heading there only makes it tougher for games, also Alonso, Khedira, Lassana Diarra in central midfield, even Granero might get minutes in front of him as a back-up.

Surprised City aren't all over this tbh, you look a bit thin in centre-mid and Barry is solid and underrated but not getting any younger. Sahin is quality.

Barry, Milner, Silva, Nasri, Toure can all play central midfield. And AJ is very good playing inside too. Some of his first time passing is better than you will see from specialist attacking England midfielders. We have young players like Suarez and Razak coming through too so I don't agree

A player Mourinho likes and definitely ahead of Sahin in the order picking. I dont understand why he just doesnt move on and get his career back on track. Players like Sneijder and Robben was told they are not needed. Once Real make up their mind it doesnt matter you are not in their plan and they will just someone else. by refusing to go you will only hurt your career. mourinho is also someone who is similar to Mancini in that if he doesnt want you, then he will not use you and even not count you as part of his players. And before people say Im attacking mancini here remember he always says we have four strikers already despite Santa Cruz and Adebayor being City strikers

So what you're saying is you'd go into a game with a midfield of:

Nasri----Silva---Milner---Johnson?

We only have 4 CM's, they're Yaya, Barry, de Jong and Milner. Yaya is going to go to the ACON again, de Jong could be on his way out and Mancini is reluctant to play Milner centrally. We really need another midfielder and Sahin would be perfect.

Still reports this morning that Arsenal are trying to get Sahin on loan, and also reportedly are close to securing Cazorla which would be a welcome boost for us. Much needed too with Wilshere gone 'til October after already missing a year, can't rely on him for the next few months.

wilshere coming back for u lot will basically be a new signing with how much time he has missed. still hope u guys end up keeping rvp. Sahin is class and could be used in any top side especially ours
