Mourinho said similar about Kaka. Turning out to be a terrible move for Sahin, hard to turn Madrid down but he's wasted a year now so a loan looks ideal.

Modric heading there only makes it tougher for games, also Alonso, Khedira, Lassana Diarra in central midfield, even Granero might get minutes in front of him as a back-up.

Surprised City aren't all over this tbh, you look a bit thin in centre-mid and Barry is solid and underrated but not getting any younger. Sahin is quality.

Barry, Milner, Silva, Nasri, Toure can all play central midfield. And AJ is very good playing inside too. Some of his first time passing is better than you will see from specialist attacking England midfielders. We have young players like Suarez and Razak coming through too so I don't agree

So what you're saying is you'd go into a game with a midfield of:

Nasri----Silva---Milner---Johnson?

We only have 4 CM's, they're Yaya, Barry, de Jong and Milner. Yaya is going to go to the ACON again, de Jong could be on his way out and Mancini is reluctant to play Milner centrally. We really need another midfielder and Sahin would be perfect.

4 is enough when you can surround them with Silva, Nasri, AJ etc

I don't know, when we don't have Yaya playing deep, we lack a player who can receive a pass in pressure and find a teammate. Yaya also has it in him to spread the play, and link from defence to attack. I think Mancini spotted this so we loaned Pizzaro, but it didn't really work. I seriously think another deep lying playmaker would be exactly what we need to take us to the next level. Unfortunately, there are very few available on the planet. I've not watched that much of Sahin, but he does sound like the player we need.

This is getting on my nerves that Arsenal are so close on signing him....
We are not even being linked to Sahin.....would love to have him here to see his long balls to Balotelli and Aguero but I dont think we will get him as Marwoord is still sleeping or showing Mancini that who has the power...

We need to get someone like Sahin . Just saw on the transfer news that Bayern are willing to pay 31million for Javi martinez , De rossi signed a 5year deal with Roma so he is out of the picture . We are down to one player now and that's Sahin . Personally i believe this power struggle between Marwood and Mancini could hurt us next season . The Sheikh or someone influential should wade into the matter before it gets ugly.

We're going to be chasing RVP whilst this kid walks straight through the doors at the Emirates, and it will be the biggest mistake of the transfer window by a country mile.

Someone had better convince Sahin that he has better chances and less competition at City than at Arsenal . Arsenal has LOTS of midfielders compared to us . Rosicky , Arteta , Ramsey , Diaby , Song , Ox , Wilshere , Podolski plays in the midfield sometimes and all this players are young players but except Arteta and Rosicky , here at City Barry is in his 30's , Yaya is about 29 or so and Nigel is about 27 (Didn't include Milner as Bobby doesn't like playing him in the midfield ). Sahin should be smart (and i hope our scouts are smart also ), He would get far more playtime here and his chances of silverware here is far higher than at Arsenal . I really "pray" we grab this guy . I don't know if the media houses are exaggerating our interest in RVP but all i can say is this WE DON'T NEED HIM . Lets use our money wisely . Grab Sahin and get Agger or someone else .

Okay so maybe Mancini hasn't said anything on Sahin but isn't it OBVIOUS that we need a young world class cover for Barry and a future replacement considering the fact that barry is in his 30's ?

The fact that we signed Pizarro on loan shows that this is a position on the team Mancini would like to strengthen. If we're not in for this kid then I really can't understand why.

Maybe Bobby doesnt want him? Maybe his personality is shit. Maybe Bobby thinks Barry will need replacing in a couple or 3 years, so will ign someone then.

If Bobby is messing with 3 -5 -2 then maybe he doesnt think we need anyone else now.
